  • Account data: name, email address, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
  • MEQ inputs: the answers you provide during the MEQ assessment.
  • Payment data: handled securely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card details.
  • Usage data: anonymised analytics via PostHog EU Cloud, only with your explicit consent.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Generate your MEQ Score and personalised report.
  • Send you report access links and transactional emails.
  • Process payments and provide customer support.
  • Improve our product based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing.
  • Supabase — for secure database hosting.
  • PostHog — for analytics (EU-hosted, consent-based only).

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can request this by emailing hello@cognatic.co.uk.

6. Data retention

We retain your MEQ data and account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time via your account settings, which will remove your personal data from our systems.
